3D Pin Inserter

The target of this single pin insertion machine is to insert pressfit contacts with number into holes.

The pressfit pins are located on a reel and is introduced to the machine.

The pressfit pins will be separated from each other in the machine in the feed and cut unit.

The separated contacts will be picked up in an insertion nozzle.

A aluminium casting is positioned by an XY table and a rotation axis.

The contacts can be inserted in different positions in the aluminium casting 1 by 1.

During each insertion the force measurement system is logging the insertion force.

There is also a camera installed to measure the diameter and the position of the holes in the aluminium casting.

The machine can have different programs in memory.
