IDC Discrete Wire
Attaching IDC Discrete Wire connectors is a two-step process, executed in a single action. In one go, the wire is pressed into the contact, pierces through the insulation and makes a gas-tight contact with the wire. At the same time, a strain relief is closed to mechanically lock the wire. The result is a reliable and theoretically gas-tight connection.
We have a wide variety of tools to cover your needs. Our range of pistol grip hand tools is suitable for many IDC discrete wire connectors. Semi-automatic cable terminators are available for larger volumes, and they can process single-, double-, and multiple row connectors. Check-out our cross-reference table to find the right solution for your specific IDC discrete wire connectivity needs. Repair tools for prototype work and small series can also be found in that table.
